I heard that the Neon Genesis Evangelion Platinum DVDs is a diffrent story then the first series in 2003 on?

Rest of Question: Cartoon Networks Toonami block as part of a special called “Giant Robot Week” and I just need to know if this was true and if the Neon Genesis Evangelion Platinum DVD set comes with the movies?

It isn’t a different story. It has the original episodes. What could be said is on the six disks it comes with extended parts in the episodes, like what you would find in resurrection( the dvd with episodes 21-23) and partially extended 24-25. I does not come with THe End of Evangelion, Nor Death and rebirth. But what death and rebirth was just a recap with just 7 more minutes of filler in between.
